The technical hub of Biotechnology Department, “RIBOSE” has been instrumental since the establishment in 2012 in nurturing the intellectual skill-set of the students of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida by providing them a conducive platform to nurture their scholastic and co-scholastic skills. The hub is actively contributing towards the Institute’s vison and mission of nurturing leaders in innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity and managementand for developing solutions for environmental issues and providing sustainable solutions.
The hub is actively involved in organizing events such as Assay writing competition, conveying social messages, fostering student alumni interactions, prototype design competitions on topic of social relevance. The hub was also actively involved in publishing periodic newsletter under the title “The RIBOSE Times” The hub organizes various events during the Techno-cultural fest of the Institute “CyberShrishti” and Cultural fest of the institute “Impressions”.
The hub has organized various events, out of which some societal driven events were organized in association with agencies such as Microsoft-WWF initiative “Create to Inspire” and GBioFin Biotech Pvt Ltd. The hub has organized competitive and brain storming events including quiz competition, prototype designing event (Hydrophilic), poster making competition, article writing competition, “Green Campus” competition and many more.
The hub has also organized various student-alumni interaction events under the event “Lighting Idea”, in which our alma mater from Industries and research laboratories of repute along with first generation entrepreneurs were invited to interact with students and guide them for the way forward. The hub is also working with Institution Innovation Council (IIC) since 2019 and has organized events on entrepreneurship, IPR and its role in building innovation. The hub has been a nurturing platform for interdisciplinary approaches and skills being amalgamated to provide solution to societal problems. An initiative of RIBOSE with hub µCR for the event “Kakusin” is an initiative toward that direction. The horizon has been extended by the hub, toward initiative to foster societal development. The hub is actively working with UNNAT BHARAT ABHIYAN and NSS Cell at JIIT Noida in organizing various awareness programs, outreach activities and celebrating national days.
