CDs/DVDs ROM Browsing
LRC has huge collection of CD-ROM/DVD on different discipline. Users may use these CD-ROMs in LRC or they may get a copy of required CD.
Photocopy/Printing Facility
Photocopying is a paid service offered by the LRC to users. Reference materials, like periodicals, reference books, bound volumes, etc. can be copied and used by the students/users. This service can be availed by the users from the lower basement of LRC.
Scanning Facility
Users may avail document scanning facility freely at the lower basement in the LRC. Users may scan their documents themselves or they may take help from LRC staff.
Internet Facility
LRC has 73+ terminals to facilitate uninterrupted access to subscribed e-journals, e-books, and other scholarly communications. Wi-Fi facility is also available in LRC.
Cyber Libary
LRC-Cyber Library is in Basement I and Basement II and has computer systems with internet facilities. The purpose of the Cyber Library is to give digital access to the LRC users of subscribed resources and databases. Users can also use personal and LRC books for study in the Cyber Library.
Book Bank Facility
Book Bank is a separate section in the LRC, where textbooks and other miscellaneous books are reserved for Students. Students can borrow these books for semester.
Plagiarism Checking Service
LRC offers Plagiarism Checking Service to JIIT students, faculties and Scholars. LRC has subscriptions to Turnitin and Original anti-plagiarism software.
User Orientation Program
LRC organizes User Orientation Program from time to time for its users. The main motive of this program is to make the users familiar with available resources and services. Interested users may approach the office of the librarian to avail this facility. LRC also organize Workshops, Conferences, Invited Lectures, etc. from time to time to update the users and LRC staff about emerging trends and value added services.
Reference Services
Students, Research Scholars, Faculty/ Staff Members may approach the Circulation Desk/ LRC Office for getting any information or any type of assistance for using LRC resources and Services. The LRC maintains a separate reference collection consisting of Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Handbooks, Project Reports, Atlases, Bibliographies, etc. One staff member has been deputed for providing assistance or reference services to users.
Group Discussion Room
LRC has three group discussion (GD) rooms with laptop charging facilities. JIITians can be booked these rooms for group discussions or presentations. if they are not booked, users feel free to go in and use them and ensure the appropriate use of the Discussion Room. Smoking, eating, sleeping and talking loudly are strictly prohibited in the Discussion Room
Scholars/Faculties Cabins
LRC has scholars' and faculties' cabins for self-study with laptop charging facilities. These cabins are reserved for scholars and faculties. If students want to use them, they will get permission.
Non-Visual Desktop Access
NonVisual Desktop Access (NVDA) is an open-source, portable screen reader for Microsoft Windows. NVDA allows vision-impaired people to access and interact with the Windows operating system and many third-party applications.
Remote Access to LRC E-Resources
LRC offers remote access to the subscribed e-resources through
Shibboleth authentication. This means that students, research scholars, and faculty members can access these valuable resources even when they are not on campus. If you encounter any issues or require assistance with remote access, please feel free to reach out to the LRC team at
