  • Appeal to Establishment of Wellness Centres and Ensuring Happiness within Campus
    Thursday, December 28, 2023

    Dear Sir/Madam,

Subject: Appeal to Establishment of Wellness Centres and Ensuring Happiness within Campus.

Happy New Year 2024. AICTE wishes You and Your Loved One's Peace, Health, Happiness, and Prosperity.

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. lt is a matter of pride that the council is sparing no efforts towards the uplifting of Technical Education which is holistic and value based. As we continually strive to enhance the educational experience for our students, it has become imperative to focus not only on academic achievement but also on the emotional and social well-being of our student community. ln APH 2024-27 handbook, we have moved emotional ond social wellbeing from desirable to essential. With this vision in mind, the Council proposes establishing Wellness Centres within all its approved institutions mandatorily, dedicated to fostering our students' mental health and emotional resilience. These Wellness Centres would serve as safe spaces where students can seek support and resources to address a range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges. These centres shall be staffed by qualified professionals such as counsellors and psychologists who can provide guidances , counselling, and mental health support.

Also the council intends to support, promote and ensure happiness across all campuses and declare happiness ranking through the YourOnelife (YOL) app (www.yol.one) and hence seek wholehearted support for this initiative to create, calibrate and celebrate happiness through yOL app. Usage of this app is essential by all and it will be treated as your commitment to happiness. I also encourage you to plan happiness fests in your college and share such activities held to the Council. Letter of appreciation shall be extended to those institutions who embark commendable activities in that regard. By prioritizing the emotional and social well-being of our students, we can create a more supportive and nurturing environment that enhances their overall college experience. I look forward to your support and collaboration in implementing these initiatives for the benefit of our students.

Your acknowledgement and revert to the above shall be taken on record as your affirmation to  ensure the wellbeing and happiness amongst all stakeholders associated with your good campus.

  • Launch of New AICTE Placement Portal
    Wednesday, November 1, 2023

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    Greetings from AICTE..

As you aware that, In many rural and tribal areas, the job market is quite limited, and the opportunities available for recent graduates is scarce. As a result, many students who grew up in rural and tribal areas are often struggling to find employment after graduation. This can be a major challenge, as it can lead to high levels of unemployment and underemployment, which can have negative effects on the economy.

In urban areas, students have access to a wide range of professional organizations and networking events that can help them connect with potential employers. In rural areas, however, these opportunities may be few and far between, making it difficult for students to build the professional connections they need to succeed in their chosen field.

To overcome this problem, AICTE has developed a placement portal for village and tribal area students that can be a powerful tool to help bridge the gap between urban and rural areas in terms of access to employment opportunities. The portal will serve as a platform for connecting rural students with MNCs, Industries, and other employers for job opportunities and providing them with the resources they need to succeed in the job market.

The portal is designed to be user-friendly and accessible to students who may not have access to high-speed internet or the latest technology. It can include features such as job listings, career advice, and networking tool.

we are glad to share with you that the newly developed placement portal is Full-fledged ready. This portal is scheduled to be launched by Hon’ble Chairman, AICTE Prof. T. G. Sitharam on 2nd November 2023 at 11:30 AM in online mode from AICTE Hqrs.

You are requested to kindly make it convenient to attend above said launch ceremony. The joining link is given below:

  • Promotion of Energy Literacy Training among all affiliated institutions
    Thursday, July 27, 2023

    Sir/Madam,

Climate is not changing, it has changed, mainly due to use of energy. Knowingly or unknowingly we tend to mis-use, over-use and inefficiently-use energy and contribute more to climate change.

Every user of energy should become Energy Literate. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), in collaboration with Energy Swaraj Foundation have launched Energy Literacy Training. In this training one learns about energy generation, consumption and its impact on the environment. You can also learn how to reduce your energy needs and how one can switch to solar energy 100%. The training consists of 12 modules of about 15 minutes each and can be done easily within 3 to 4 hours.

On successful completion of training, everyone gets a certificate of Energy Literacy with the logo of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
